The young black doe that went 2nd best in show last week, Smudge, took 3rd best in show at the one star show and 5th in the two star show.&nbsp; Smudge also took 2nd best fancy in the one star show..&nbsp; She took best tan in both shows.&nbsp; A major mile-stone was that Alexander beat Ken Lettington for the first time.&nbsp; Ken is a major tan breeder and the man who supplied Alex with his foundation stock, so quite an achievement.&nbsp; Another great result!<br><br>Alex's adult chocolate doe, Ripple, won first adult tan in both shows, so a clean sweep.<br><br>Finally Alex won 1st, 2nd and 3rd best junior in the one star show and 2nd in the two star show.<br><br>All in all a pretty good December and a stunning year with 7 Best Juniors out of 11 possible.&nbsp; North Kent Fanciers - 6 December 2009</title><pubDate>Monday, 14 December 2009 07:51:17</pubDate><description><![CDATA[Alexander's best results to date.<br>With NKF he won best black tan, with Smudge, and best "Any Other Colour" tan, with Tigger.&nbsp; At Medway he won best Black tan, again with Smudge.&nbsp; At both shows he won best tan.<br><br>In both Junior shows, he not only won best junior, but second best junior and third best junior, against a lot of competition.<br><br>At NKF he won 2nd U/5 months, with Smudge.<br><br>At Medway Towns he won Best Fancy, 1st U/5 months, and after a split decission with the judges, finally finsihed 2nd Best-in-Show, against over 170 rabbits.&nbsp; Oxted/Sussex Coast</title><pubDate>Tuesday, 01 September 2009 06:19:45</pubDate><description><![CDATA[A two day event with a new show each day.&nbsp; Alexander took two young tans, but both were in moult, so not the best chances.&nbsp; <br><br>Speedy won Best Junior Fancy, Best Junior, 1st under 5 months Fancy, 1st under 5 months Grand Challenge and 6th in the any age Grand Challenge.&nbsp; Supreme all round.&nbsp; Alexander has had more success in his two outings than I managed in 6 years showing as a junior!&nbsp; Three black 'n' tans, just over a month old now.&nbsp; They are looking great and we hope to have one or two quality show rabbits.&nbsp; There are three more tan litters due in the next week, one on 28 December and two on 1 January 2009.<br><br>Stephan has three litters due on 4 January, one grey to grey and two tri-colour English to regular English.&nbsp; These latter does should produce blacks, which will breed tri-colours.&nbsp; I have three chocolate does that should be ready to breed in early February, and I am looking forward to producing some show rabbits again.&nbsp; <br><br>The more I look at the tri-colours the more I find them interesting.&nbsp; I find the spotting too small and too many, but breeding to regular English should help this trait.&nbsp; </font><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">I know most English breeders don't like tri-colours, but I imagine this was the same when chocolates first appeared on the scene.&nbsp; Anything that brings more fanciers to the English breed has to be a good thing.&nbsp; So I shall persevere.&nbsp; <br><br>Merry Christmas to everyone and enjoy you rabbits.&nbsp; Good luck for 2009, and I hope you get get a flyer or two.<br><br>Stephan<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;
