Alexander's first litter is doing well.  Three black 'n' tans, just over a month old now.  They are looking great and we hope to have one or two quality show rabbits.  There are three more tan litters due in the next week, one on 28 December and two on 1 January 2009.

Stephan has three litters due on 4 January, one grey to grey and two tri-colour English to regular English.  These latter does should produce blacks, which will breed tri-colours.  I have three chocolate does that should be ready to breed in early February, and I am looking forward to producing some show rabbits again.

The more I look at the tri-colours the more I find them interesting.  I find the spotting too small and too many, but breeding to regular English should help this trait.
I know most English breeders don't like tri-colours, but I imagine this was the same when chocolates first appeared on the scene.  Anything that brings more fanciers to the English breed has to be a good thing.  So I shall persevere.

Merry Christmas to everyone and enjoy you rabbits.  Good luck for 2009, and I hope you get get a flyer or two.

Stephan
